LaunchPoint Technologies is pleased to announce the recent addition of Josiah Verkaik to their Mechanical Engineering team.
Mr. Verkaik possesses several years of experience in the medical device industry. Now with LaunchPoint, Josiah will be working on the Phase I development of a Quintessential Ventricular Cannula, for which the firm recently received a $200,000 NIH research grant. Prior to joining LaunchPoint, Mr. Verkaik served as an independent consultant for Endoscopic visualization products and accessories.
Josiah brings with him many years of prototyping, tooling and CAD design experience. He has seen several product families develop from concept to commercialization, and as a result possesses the System Engineering perspective that LaunchPoint holds in high esteem.
“Josiah is a great addition to the LaunchPoint team,” praised LaunchPoint President Dr. Brad Paden. “His previous work developing medical devices will be a valued asset to us, and his drive to succeed is indicative of the skills we look for in our Venture Engineers.”
