Jack joined LaunchPoint in June of 2018 as a full time physics intern, working mostly on Multidisciplinary Design Optimization (MDO) tools for the design analysis of radial-flux electric machines. During the 2018-2019 school year Jack began working on system level MDO tools used for trade studies and design analysis associated with many of LaunchPoint's electric propulsion and power generation systems. In June of 2019 Jack graduated with a degree in Physics from the College of Creative Studies at University of California, Santa Barbara. After graduation Jack moved into his role as Computational Scientist, where he works on the development of LaunchPoint’s suite of MDO tools and software. Jack also works to support LaunchPoint's numerical modeling efforts using Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and other tools.
