Chris Grieco is the Executive Vice President of Gravity Power, LLC, formerly known as LaunchPoint Innovations LLC (LPI). Chris joined LPI, a bulk energy storage spin-off of LaunchPoint Technologies Inc in March 2009. Chris brings over 17 years of technical and business management experience in power generation, renewable energy, and transportation. Prior to joining LPI, he served as Head of Technology for the principals of Dehlsen Associates, LLC, the founders of Zond Wind Energy and Clipper Windpower. Responsibilities included business planning, design engineering, intellectual property portfolio development and the building of collaborative technical relationships.

As Chief Operating Officer of Advanced Propulsion Technologies, Inc., Chris managed the growth of the power generation firm from $0 to over $3M in revenues across several new commercial and defense power and energy technologies. During his 12-year tenure at Ford Motor Company, Chris led a powertrain engineering team to the successful design, development, and launch of hundreds of thousands of new driveline systems being used worldwide at Ford, earning him the highest global technical distinction – The Henry Ford Technology Award. Chris’ co-invention, which was launched in over 6 major assembly plants, garnered numerous press accolades and was described in over six U.S. patents. He also spent several years working in corporate strategy and technology Mergers and Acquisitions.

Chris is a non-executive Member and Co-Founder of an innovative electronics firm which endeavors to transform power conversion and battery charging technologies to more efficient, cost-effective and safe product technologies. He received a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University. Chris currently holds one U.S. patent and has six patents pending.
